Thank you for visiting us. We have two entertainment venues available in southeast Iowa for staging shows, high quality music, parties, and other special occasions.

The establishment of the Blue Shop at 320 North 4th Street in Burlington, Iowa, was the first venue to open and it has proved to be an historical benchmark for the town. Opening in 1997, the Blue Shop is a small intimate space that is a BYOB venue perfect for small house-style concerts, shows, and parties. In 2003, Blue Shop Productions, LLC. founder, David Hazell, purchased the former Elks Club building just around the corner from the Blue Shop at 306 Washington Street. Five years later, after having done a considerable amount of restoration work, Hazell reopened this much larger venue as "The Washington." Established as a full service bar and entertainment facility, the Washington is well equipped for bigger productions and special occasion events, both public and private. Both the Blue Shop and the Washington are available as rental space, and the Washington is also open on a regular basis as a nightclub.
